Big Gay Premiere | Tom of Finland

By | | No Comments

“Hey everyone! They made a movie about that guy who did all those big gay sexy drawings!” Touko Laaksonen returns home after a harrowing and heroic experience serving his country in World War II. But life in Finland during peacetime proves equally distressing. He finds post-war Helsinki rampant with homophobic persecution, and gay men around him are being pressured to marry women and have children. Touko finds refuge in his liberating art: homoerotic drawings of muscular men, free of inhibitions.

Cherry Pop AZ Premiere

By | | No Comments

Time to tuck and strap it on, squirrelfriends! This is what you’ve all been waiting for … It’s time for somebody to get their cherry popped!

RuPauls Drag Race favorites Bob the Drag Queen, Tempest DuJour, Detox Icunt, Latrice Royale and many more star and appear in this uproarious comedy about what happens backstage during a newcomer’s wild night in a down-and-out drag club. Cherry Pop follows one wild, crazy night at a drag club, where the matriarch of the show Zaza refuses to come out of her dressing room, while a young newcomer, The Cherry, is tormented by the regular troupe of back-stabbing queens.

You won’t want to miss this exclusive screening and event, benefiting in part the Southwest Center for HIV/AIDS. Be part of the (almost Hollywood style) red carpet glamour with RuPaul’s Drag Race contestant and Cherry Pop film star Tempest DuJour and the filmmaker Assaad Yacoub, who will be holding a Q&A and talkback after the feature. And there may even be another super-secret special guest making an appearance!

We’ll see you on Thursday, September 14 at the Parsons Center for Health and Wellness, 1101 N. Central Ave. The doors open at 6:30 p.m. A fabulous pre-show performance starts at 7:30 p.m. and the screening is at 8 p.m. A cash bar and concessions will be available.

See you there … or we’ll read you to filth! Tickets are EXTREMELY LIMITED
